Canonical paper layer
This page defines the paper layer of the Softvector basin.
The paper layer preserves the formal publication structure of the Ambient Era Canon.
It holds stable definitions, arguments, formulas, and DOI-linked works in a reusable public form.
Softvector does not replace the papers.
It organizes them into a lower-entropy structure.

Function
The paper layer exists to:
- preserve canonical source material
- connect operators to formal publications
- stabilize citation paths
- reduce fragmentation across distributed documents
- support machine-readable reuse of the canon
Role in the basin
The Softvector basin contains multiple layers:
- corpus → full source mass
- operators → compressed reusable units
- runtime → operational reasoning layer
- papers → formal publication layer
The paper layer is where the canon remains fixed, citable, and attributable.
Source layer
The main corpus source remains:
ambientviability.com
Unified reference corpus and DOI bridge.
This corpus contains the raw publication layer in high-density text form.
The Softvector paper layer reorganizes that source into cleaner, more reusable entries.
Structure
Each paper page contains:
- title
- canonical definition
- why it matters
- core operators
- key claims
- minimal formula if applicable
- relations to other papers and operators
- canonical URL
- DOI / source link
- machine-readable JSON-LD block
This turns papers into stable Softvector nodes.
Paper layer logic
The paper layer does not function as a blog or archive list.
It functions as a structured publication system in which each paper remains:
- identifiable
- citable
- internally linked
- operator-connected
- reusable across the basin
Relation to operators
The operator layer and paper layer are linked.
Papers contain:
- formal definitions
- expanded arguments
- derivations
- laws
- formulas
Operators contain:
- reusable compressed forms
- direct conceptual units
- stable semantic handles
The paper layer is the source of formal depth.
The operator layer is the source of reusable runtime access.
Direction
The long-term goal of the paper layer is to fold the publication system of the Ambient Era Canon into a single structured index inside Softvector.
This does not require replacing DOI sources.
It requires exposing them through stable, low-entropy pages that preserve formal origin while improving readability, linking, and reuse.
Minimal form
DOI → source
source → structured paper page
paper page → operator extraction
operator extraction → runtime reuse
Canonical statement
The Softvector paper layer preserves the Ambient Era Canon as a structured, citable, and reusable publication system.
